Summer results: 28 of 31 hit their target grade
Thirty-one students sat GCSE maths with me this summer, and twenty-eight met or beat the grade they were predicted in September.
The three who missed all had the same thing in common: we started in March. Eight weeks is enough to fix arithmetic and exam technique; it is not enough to rebuild algebra.
If they are sitting in May, February is the month to start.
